Description |
The museum is the home Jesse Shirley's Bone and Flint Mill built in 1857 to grind materials for the agricultural and pottery industries. Powered by an 1820s beam engine with steam generated by an 1903 locally built Cornish boiler, visitors can see the mill operating during the steaming weekends and discover the history of Etruria, the industrial area founded by Josiah Wedgwood. |
