Description The first Transporter Bridge was built near Bilbao in Spain and is still used today. Worldwide less than twenty transporter bridges were built, of which 6 are currently in operation.

The remarkable Newport Transporter Bridge is one of only six operational transporter bridges left world wide from a total of twenty constructed.
She is a transporter bridge that crosses the River Usk in Newport, South East Wales. The bridge is the lowest crossing on the River Usk.
