Description | The Largest Collection of Working Stationary Steam Engines and Pumps in the South of England The museum contains the original pumping station, a separate single-storey exhibition hall and several outbuildings containing exhibits. A narrow-gauge railway runs along close to the embankment of the engine-rhyne, passing alongside the main hall and terminating at the car-park/picnic area. The whole museum is set in open countryside, with an abundance of wildlife and typical Somerset Levels scenery. |
