Thessaloniki is the second-largest city in Greece, with over 1 million inhabitants in its metropolitan area, and the capital of the geographic region of Macedonia, the administrative region of Central Macedonia. Thessaloniki is located on the Thermaic Gulf, at the northwest corner of the Aegean Sea. It is bounded on the west by the delta of the Axios. Thessaloniki remains one of Greece's most important railway hubs and has the biggest marshalling yard in the country. Regional train services within Greece (operated by TrainOSE, the Hellenic Railways Organization's train operating company), link the city with other parts of the country, from its central railway passenger station, called the "New railway station" located at the western end of Thessaloniki's city center. The Port of Thessaloniki connects the city with seasonal ferries to the Sporades and other north Aegean islands, with its passenger terminal. Thessaloniki lies on the crossroads of the A1/E75, A2/E90 and A25 motorways; which connect the city with other parts of the country, as well as the Republic of North Macedonia, Bulgaria and Turkey. The Radio Museum is located at the South Gate of the Thessaloniki International Exhibition. |

| Descrizione | The urban non-profit organization is trying to achieve its purpose of establishment, founded by Panayotis KISKILAS, in the “MARCONI’s 100 years Radio 1895-1998” to collet, preserve and display all material relating directly or indirectly with the voice and sound, able to implement this little Radio Museum Telecommunications. The building is 100m2 and includes at the moment, some of the machinery of the founder of the First radio in the Balkans the late Christos TSINGIRIDIS 1926. Also includes old radio equipment of Radio ERT Macedonia, the Army’s equipment and machinery of the legendary amateur AM-MW station RADIO NESTOR, (1332kc: radio frequency Tsingiridis) installed by Panayotis KISKILAS in the Thessaloniki’s St.Demetrius Cathedral at 1958-1968. The Museum contents the Panayotis KISKILAS radio collection, machinery from Radio Athens stock and machinery of various amateur radio collectors, like the SIEMENS Germany. Additionally, is being developed, rich vocal material with voice samples or people who played an important role in Greece, which will enrich the Museum’s site on the internet, along with the History of Radio,accompanied by many photographs. |

Μια σειρά από μηχανήματα που πέρασαν από τα ραδιοφωνικά στούντιο συνθέτουν τη συλλογή του μουσείου, που είναι διαθέσιμη στο κοινό. Μεταξύ άλλων εκτίθενται κονσόλες (βάσεως & φορητές) μαγνητόφωνα (βάσεως & φορητά) μικρόφωνα, πομποί και δέκτες (οικιακοί και επαγγελματικοί) τηλέφωνα, όργανα ελέγχου, λυχνίες, περιοδικά, ντοκουμέντα, φωτογραφίες. Ο αστικός μη κερδοσκοπικός φορέας μας, προσπαθώντας να πραγματοποιήσει τους σκοπούς της ίδρυσής του από τον Παναγιώτη ΚΙΣΚΙΛΑ στα « 100 Χρόνια Ράδιο ΜΑΡΚΟΝΙ 1895-1995» με σκοπό τη συλλογή, διατήρηση και έκθεση πάσης φύσεως υλικού, σχετικού άμεσα ή έμμεσα με τη φωνή και τον ήχο, κατόρθωσε να υλοποιήσει αυτό το μικρό Ράδιο Μουσείο Τηλεπικοινωνιών. Το κτίσμα είναι 100m2 και περιλαμβάνει αυτή τη στιγμή, μερικά από τα μηχανήματα του ιδρυτή του Πρώτου ραδιοφώνου στα Βαλκάνια, αείμνηστου Χρίστου ΤΣΙΓΓΙΡΙΔΗ 1926. Επίσης περιλαμβάνει παλαιό ραδιοφωνικό υλικό του Ραδιοσταθμού Μακεδονίας ΕΡΤ, μηχανήματα του Στρατού, καθώς και μηχανήματα του θρυλικού ερασιτεχνικού σταθμού μεσαίων ΡΑΔΙΟ ΝΕΣΤΩΡ (1332χκ:ραδιοσυχνότητα Τσιγγιρίδη) που εγκατέστησε ο Παναγιώτης ΚΙΣΚΙΛΑΣ στον Καθεδρικό Αγίου Δημητρίου Θεσσαλονίκης το 1958-1968. Επιπρόσθετα, βρίσκεται στο στάδιο της επεξεργασίας, πλούσιο φωνητικό υλικό με δείγματα φωνών ανθρώπων που διαδραμάτισαν σημαντικό ρόλο στην Ελλάδα, που θα εμπλουτίσει το site του Μουσείου στο internet, με την ιστορία της Ραδιοφωνίας, που θα συνοδεύεται από πλούσιο φωτογραφικό υλικό. Το Μουσείο απαρτίζεται από την Ραδιοφωνική Συλλογή Παναγιώτη ΚΙΣΚΙΛΑ και από μηχανήματα που αποτελούν δωρεές στη συλλογή αυτή, ή παραχωρήσεις ανθρώπων που έζησαν ένα κομμάτι της ιστορίας του ραδιοφώνου. |
