Description

MIRS – Interactive Museum of Radio and Society was founded by the Municipal Council of Pasiano di Pordenone to share and promote the collection donated by citizen and researcher Pier Giorgio Vendramini.

This thoughtfully composed selection of important historical radios represents a material and intellectual catalogue of technological and cultural development in Italy and around the world.

The exhibition avoids lingering in nostalgia, instead accompanying historical radios with collectors’ materials, experiment points, educational workshops and informative and interactive resources, illustrating how the invention of the radio transformed our society. And how it continues to do so.
