Description

The Marine Museum of Trieste shows the story and the evolution of the port and marine activity of Trieste, across with the evolution of the marine technology. In the Marconi Room at the ground floor, you may find the Morse key used by Marconi to power up 3.000 lamps of the Sydney's Town Hall, from the Elettra ship in Genoa, 14.000 miles away, on March 26th 1930. The Museum also hosts parts of the Elettra ship, an anchor and some of the radio equipment from the ship.
