Description

The Museo Nazionale degli Strumenti Musicali (National Museum of Musical Instruments) in Rome is the major European museum of its field. More than 1000 items from different areas - from Far East to archaeological sites of Southern Etruria - spread in a incredibly wide span of time - starting since the late Hellenistic period up to the XX century.

Among the most valuable instruments, the most rare are the piano built by Bartolomeo Cristofori in 1723 and the well-known Arpa Barberini.
