Tsumeb is connected to the national railway network operated by TransNamib. Tsumeb was for most of the 20th century the terminus of the line but in recent times the track has been extended a further 260 km to reach Ondangwa. There are main roads leading north, Ondangwa through to Oshakati and Angola, north-east a new constructed Bituminous Road to Tsintsabis leading to Katwitwi Border Post and Angola, east, Grootfontein through to Rundu and Katima Mulilo, and south, Otavi through to Otjiwarongo and Windhoek. The museum is Located on Main Street next to the Lutheran Church, facing the park |
Description | The museum houses excellent displays of the area's rare minerals and mining history, as well as Bushmen and Himba artifacts and details the history of the German colonial forces in the area. |
