Description

Pablo Neruda Railroad Museum In 2004 the National Railway Museum in Temuco was set up on the grounds of the former locomotive workshop where old steam locomotives, wagons and train compositions of the 1960s can be seen. The locomotives and train arrangements that were in service in Chile, mainly originate from the U.S., Italy and Germany.

Note: After the earthquake of 27 February 2010 has changed the operation of the National Railway Museum. The vehicles are in the park opposite the Art Gallery. The roundhouse suffered severe damage to infrastructure and is unsafe for visitors.

These measures will be temporary until this important building to be restored.
