Museum is located in the centre of Belgrade (corner of Palmotićeva street and Majke Jevrosime street), in the building designed by the architect Momir Korunović.

Postal collection

Fund of the postal collection of the PTT museum consists of cultural property in the area of postal traffic, which is the basis for studying the development of postal technology in various historical periods, on the territory of Serbia and former Yugoslavia.
This collection includes reconstructions of monuments, maps of postal routes and means for writing letters from ancient and the middle ages.

Technical collection

Technical collection of the PTT museum is set chronologically and it represents summery of the development of telecommunications, from the first telephones to the first computers. The collection includes the devices for telegraph, telephone, radio-telegraphic, radio and telephone communications and from the area of computers .
Some of the most significant exhibits in technical collection are: telegraph devices of Morse, Bodo and Hughes, Belinograph, various types of teleprinters, from the oldest generation to the newer types of devices - telex, then the copy of Bell's phone, inductor exchange, large number of desktop inductor phones, phones with dials and mobile phones, Polish radiotelegraphic stations and phones,  all  kinds  of  isolators  and  significant  number of
electric tubes, lamps and cables.

Technical collection includes models such as model of Chappe optical telegraph, model of Avala tower and FM station.

Philatelic collection

Philatelic collection of PTT museum contains both domestic and foreign postage stamps.

Poštanska zbirka

Fond poštanske zbirke PTT muzeja čine kulturna dobra iz oblasti poštanskog saobraćaja, što je osnova za proučavanje razvoja poštanske tehnologije u raznim istorijskim periodima, na tlu Srbije i bivše Jugoslavije.
Ova zbirka raspolaže rekonstrukcijama spomenika, karata poštanskih puteva i sredstava za pisanje pisama iz starog i srednjeg veka.

Tehnička zbirka

Tehnička zbirka PTT muzeja sažeto prikazuje razvoj telekomunikacija, od prvih telegrafa do prvih računara. Zbirka sadrži aparate iz telegrafskog, telefonskog, radio-telegrafskog, radio-telefonskog saobraćaja i iz oblasti računara.
Među najznačajnijim eksponatima Tehničke zbirke izdvajamo: Morzeove, Bodoove i Hjuzove telegrafske aparate, uređaj za prenos slika - Belinograf, razne tipove teleprintera, od najstarijih do digitalnih, zatim Simensov telefonski aparat proizveden po Belovom modelu, induktorske telefonske centrale, veliki broj induktorskih i automatskih telefonskih aparata i mobilnih telefona, poljske radiotelegrafske stanice i telefone, razne vrste izlolatora i značajan broj električnih cevi, lampi i kablova.

Tehnička zbirka sadrži i makete, kao što su maketa Šapovog optičkog telegrafa maketa Avalskog tornja i UKT stanice.

U Filatelističkoj zbirci PTT muzeja nalaze se kolekcije domaćih i stranih poštanskih maraka.
