Description

History

The museum was established in 1967 and is the oldest museum of electrical transport in Russia. It is based at the old Vasileostrovsky tram depot in Saint Petersburg which was built in 1906 - 1908. To celebrate the 90th anniversary of the St. Petersburg tram samples of the trams that have been used in St. Petersburg have been restored. There are also static exhibits: archival documents and photos, cards, breadboard models of horsecars and trams, examples of tram worker uniforms and original cash registers

The museum's collection includes 45 trams and 18 trolleys.

Музе́й городско́го электри́ческого тра́нспорта Са́нкт-Петербу́рга — структурное подразделение СПб ГУП «Горэлектротранс», содержащее на балансе собрание экспонатов, демонстрирующих этапы развития электротранспорта на территории Санкт-Петербурга. Основу коллекции составляют находящиеся на ходу экземпляры основных моделей трамваев и троллейбусов, массово использовавшихся в Санкт-Петербурге, эксплуатация которых была прекращена. Территориально музей расположен в ангарах бывшего Василеостровского трамвайного парка на Среднем проспекте, дом 77.
 

Коллекция музея

В настоящий момент в музее содержится подвижной состав, насчитывающий 46 вагонов трамваев и 18 троллейбусов, которые собраны в двух ангарах. Представлены экземпляры всех трамвайных вагонов, массово использовавшихся в Петербурге и эксплуатация которых была прекращена.
