The museum is located in two buildings of the building No. 6 of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, about the center of the campus.

Orientations are a helicopter, a locomotive, an alley of monuments, the rear part of the main (first) body of the KPI.

By Brest Avenue: (former Victory Avenue, stops «Polytechnic Institute» or «Zoopark»)
Trolleybuses 5, 7
Buses 2, 189, 575, 465, 720

On Borshchagivska Street:
Tram 1, 3 (station ?Polytechnic? or ?Polyova?) Buses 118, 411, 433, 820 (stop ?Polytechnic? or ?Alexi Pacific?)

On the street Polytechnic:
Bus 442D (stop ?Polytechnic?)

On Yangel Street:
Bus 118 (end)

By Bogdan Havrylyshyn's fore:
Bus 179 (end)

From any of these stops will have to walk deep in KPI for about 5-7 minutes.

Own transport

There are only three entrances to the KPI campus:
the Borshchagivska
the Brest Avenue
from Vadim Hetman through Oleksi Pacific or Metalists on Yangel

The nearest parking spaces are Polytechnic Street, Botkina (train from Borshchagivska), Yangel.

KPI History Hall
In the KPI History Hall, you can learn about more than a century of our university history, see memorial things and documents related to founders, outstanding graduates and employees and the remarkable events in which they participated.

Computer Hall
Not just Palo Alto. Kiev was also once a center of computer ideas. In the exposition, the first Kiev computers, large computers, small computers, analog computers, mechanical computers. Even military computers.

Hall photo, cinema and television

Mineral Hall
The least spectacular, but the most important technology is the search and extraction of what everything is done from. The exposition can learn about the resources available to mankind, which are in our country, see samples of minerals and tools for their extraction.

Great Hall
The large hall contains several thematic areas:

Transport
Mechanical Engineering
Metallurgy and welding
Industrial Technology and Technology
Agricultural machinery
Printing equipment
Also in the large hall there are temporary exhibitions and events

Shooting weapons
The collection of small arms of the State Polytechnic Museum is the only collection of small arms among the polytechnic (generally technical) museums in Europe, and the most complete collection of small arms of the late nineteenth-XX centuries in museums in Ukraine.

Aviation and Cosmonautics Building
In a separate building of the museum there is a department of aviation and spacewalking, where you can learn about the history of space development and see unique artifacts.

Державний політехнічний музей – єдиний в Україні заклад, де представлено історію становлення основних галузей вітчизняної техніки, внесок України в розвиток техніки у світі.

Сьогодні Державний політехнічний музей складається з 13 розділів, що розташовані в 9 залах загальною площею 1500 квадратних метрів. Експозиції охоплює стан та розвиток науки і техніки в галузях електроніки та радіотехніки, телекомунікацій, інформатики та обчислювальної техніки, авіації i космонавтики, транспорту, приладобудування, електрозварювання, енергетики, гірничої справи, промислових технологій, машинобудування, металургії. Колекція музею налічує більше 10 тисяч експонатів, з котрих 3 тисячі знаходиться в постійній експозиції.
