Brooks is an unincorporated community in Marion County, Oregon, United States. Brooks is part of the Salem Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is located about nine miles north of Salem near Oregon Route 99E on French Prairie. Powerland Heritage Park is located in the heart of the Willamette Valley near I-5 and exit 263. The AIS is located on the grounds of Powerland Heritage Park Exhibits are housed in the Hilands Building and Richardson Building |
Description | Established in 1999, the Antique Implement Society is a non-profit museum consisting of large antique gasoline engines, diesel engines and tractors displayed in operating condition. The role of the AIS is the focus on educating visitors about the use, operation and history of large antique gas and oil engines built in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s during the Industrial Revolution. Mission: To present, exhibit and interpret large vintage engines and powered machinery of rare and valued lineage. |
