The Juneau-Douglas City Museum is located at the corner of 4th and Main, opposite the Alaska State Capitol in Juneau, Alaska. It occupies a building which was built in 1950-51 to house the Juneau Memorial Library.

Juneau is not directly accessible by road, although there are road connections to several areas immediately adjacent to the city. Primary access to the city is by air and sea. Cars and trucks are transported to and from Juneau by barge or the Alaska Marine Highway ferry system.

By City Bus

Capital City Transit operates free of charge for the downtown loop beginning in front of the visitor kiosk by the parking garage on Marine Way and ending at the Main Street bus depot. Riders can exit the bus at the corner of 4th and Seward Streets, then walk one level block to the Museum.

On Foot

From the downtown Juneau waterfront, walk uphill on either Main, Seward or Franklin Streets to 4th Street. The Museum is located at the corner of 4th and Main
