IMRRC is situated in the heart of New York State’s Finger Lakes Regio. New York State Route 14 joins New York State Route 79 and New York State Route 414 by Watkins Glen. NY-14 is one of the principal streets in Watkins Glen. New York State Route 329 and New York State Route 409 lead into Watkins Glen from the west. |
| Description | Watkins Glen is noted for its role in auto racing, being the home of a street course used in road racing, a famous racetrack. racingarchives.org: Open year-round, the Center charges no admission and has a staff eager to share their passion for racing. We urge visitors to pick up a book, study the displays from our library, archives, model car, and racing art and photography collections, or watch “25 Years at Speed: The Watkins Glen Story with Brock Yates,” a historic film on the early history of racing on the streets of Watkins Glen and our local track in the Center’s theater. Throughout the race season, the Center features a notable race car in a rotating display in our main hall. |
