The lightship is adjacent to the former presidential yacht Potomac, used by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

Description

The ship was designated listed as a National Historic Landmark by the Secretary of the Interior in 1990.
In June 2002, the ship finally opened to the public at Jack London Square in Oakland, California.

She is the sister ship to WLV-604 Columbia.
