Take I-215 south to Perris. In Perris, exit at Route 74 West. Follow Route 74 (4th Street) west for 1 mile. Turn left onto "A" Street. Follow "A" Street south for 1.5 miles.

From the West (Los Angeles, Orange County)
Take I-10 or Route 60 or Route 91 east to I-215 (approximately 50 miles from downtown Los Angeles). Take I-215 south to Perris. In Perris, exit at Route 74 West. Follow Route 74 (4th Street) west for 1 mile. Turn left onto "A" Street. Follow "A" Street south for 1.5 miles.

From the South (San Diego)
Take I-15 north to I-215 north. Follow I-215 north to Perris. In Perris, exit at Route 74 West. Follow Route 74 (4th Street) west for 1 mile. Turn left onto "A" Street. Follow "A" Street south for 1.5 miles.

Description

Explore the West's largest collection of railway locomotives, passenger and freight cars, streetcars, interurban electric cars, buildings and other artifacts dating from the 1870's.

Ride streetcars, interurban cars and trains on the museum railway. Trolleys and trains operate every weekend and on many major holidays, 11AM to 5PM.

Visit the Pinacate Station Reception Center / Museum Store and the Museum grounds daily (except Thanksgiving and Christmas).

We recommend visiting on a weekend if possible, as this is when our trains and trolleys are running and most of our display buildings are open. If you're planning to visit during the week, consider calling ahead to reserve a guided tour, available most weekday mornings for a small fee.

The Museum grounds are quite large and contain numerous buildings, parks and outdoor areas to explore. Any time you visit, we recommend dressing appropriately for the weather, and wearing comfortable walking shoes. The Museum grounds are quite large and there's a lot to see!

The Emma Nevada is an 1881 Baldwin Locomotive Works 2-6-0 "Mogul" narrow gauge steam locomotive

Southern Pacific 3100 is a GE U25B diesel locomotive once owned by the Southern Pacific Railroad and is the last operating example left in the US. Built in 1963

The Pacific Electric collection consists of over 30 pieces of equipment from the largest interurban network in the United States,Included are
"Business Car" PE 1000 and interurban PE 1001 built in 1913 by Jewett;
PE 1299, a 1929 "Business Car" rebuilt from a 1912 Pullman-built Southern Pacific trailer;
three giant "Blimp" interurban coaches;
several "Hollywood" suburban cars

The Los Angeles Railway collection consists of over two dozen pieces of electric railway equipment Highlights of the collection, which includes examples of nearly every type of streetcar run in Los Angeles in the 20th century as well as numerous work cars,
include the "Descanso", the only surviving street railway funeral car; car 3001, christened by Shirley Temple as the first PCC streetcar in Los Angeles;
and several examples of the "California" type of streetcar that utilized a half-open design suitable to the warm climate.

Ventura County Railway #2 is a 1922 Baldwin Locomotive Works 2-6-2 steam locomotive maintained in operating condition
