Description | The Western Steam Fiends Association (WSFA) represents the foremost steam heritage group on the West Coast, and the charter club of what is now known as Powerland Heritage Park. The founders, having a true passion for steam engines and steam powered machinery, started WSFA in Colton, Washington in 1952, and in 1970, some of their members joined WAPI who later purchased the property on which the park currently sits. Current WSFA members, like the club’s founders, are true steam-enthusiasts. Members enjoy working with the organization’s various pieces of historical equipment, including WSFA also conducts an annual educational program called Steam School, which runs January through May of each year, providing a fantastic hands-on learning opportunity for new and old “steam fiends” alike! |
