The WVMRM supports life-long learning and community involvement through activities, to generate interest in railroad history, fundraising and a sense of camaraderie among its members and visitors.

WVMRM became a “Partner Museum” at Powerland in 1999.

The theme is “Oregon’s Riches Ride the Rails” with a focus on the Siskiyou line starting at tunnel 13, the site of the last great train robbery in the west, ending in Eugene, the Oregon Electric Railway line termination. The time frame of the operating HO layout is 1930’s - 1965, the transition era from steam to diesel.
