This set is virtually identical to the Federated Purchaser Acratone 6-B shown in Gernsback Vol. 7, Pg. 189, 1937 with the following differences:

1. The pilot lamp and shunt resistor have been moved to the end of the filament string between Pin 1 of the 76 tube and chassis ground. The 160 ohm line cord resistor is connected directly between the rectifier plate (Pin 2) and filament (Pin 6).
2. There is a 300 ohm (1/2 W) resistor in series between the volume control and 6D6 cathode.
3. The bypass capacitor across the output transformer primary is 0.01uF 400VDC instead of 0.002uF.
4. The 6A7 cathode resistor is 350 ohms (1/2 W) instead of 300 ohms.

The pilot lamp is a #40 bulb (brown bead, screw base, 6-8V 0.15A).

WARNING: The original resistance line cord and 25 ohm pilot shunt resistor are made of asbestos containing materials (ACM).

NOTE: There are a few typographical errors on the schematic:

1. The schematic shows the 250K (1/2 W) 76 plate dropping resistor as 250 ohms.
2. The schematic shows the 500K (1/2 W) 43 grid leak resistor as 500 ohms.
3. The locations of the 8uF and 14uF filter capacitors are shown reversed. The 14uF capacitor is directly off the rectifier cathode while the 8uF capacitor is located after the filter choke.
