Stereo8 was an 8-track cartridge car stereo.
Stereo8s were cassettes containing a tape wound around itself so that playback was continuous until the tape was removed from the player. It contained 4 programs selectable with a button. Furthermore, at the end of each program an aluminum tape closing a contact controlled a relay which changed the program.
