  • The Philco model 45 series uses a 6-tube 2-band (BC and SW 4.2 - 13 MHz) chassis with 2 IF stages. The series includes three individual models with different cabinets.

    Model 45C (1934-35) is a compact table radio with a very distinctive design, which is known as one of two "butterfly" models (the other being model 28C) because of the pattern of the speaker grill on the front panel.

    There are two consoles in the series. Model 45L (1934-35) is a lowboy with an inverted "Y" in the center of the speaker opening. Model 45F (1935) is a floor-type console with a tulip pattern in the speaker opening.
