  • The first European built CD player, released in Japan in October 1982 as the Marantz CD63. This Philips CD100 /05 version was released in the UK in March 1983. With push button keys for Play/Next, Pause, Stop/CM (Clear Memory), Repeat, REV, FWD, Select, Cancel and Store (for storing tracks when compiling a programme). 15 LED track indicators, LED indicators for Pause, Error and  Repeat. On the back, RCA phono sockets for Line Output.

    Uses the Philips CDM-0 CD player mechanism and first generation Philips chipset.
