Description |
there is no trace for a connection with the Thermotron Company of Los Angeles, which closed down already in 1916. The manufacturer of the tube is most probably one of numerous bootleggers of the time.
This 120 has a UV base although the usual 120 types have a UX base. The usual UX120 appeared not before 1925 at the same time the UV base was superseded by the UX base.
Although type 199 is printed on the box, there is a stamp 120 above that. And there is a label 120 on the glass, but nowhere a manufacturer noted. See pictures.
