Min. Duotriode, 6J6 selected for balance between sections after aging. Sold only to U. S. Air Force, Sperry Gyroscope Co., and WE; used in radar and computer equipment on B-36 aircraft. Withdrawn 1952 in favor of 6099, which was used in the same equipment. Some tubes were etched "6J6" and branded "1682" after selection; others with "1682" only. [Information by L. Sibley]
