Description |
The tube UX230 (230, 30) was announced by RCA in June 1930. This is according to "Saga of the Vacuum Tube" by Tyne, pages 329 & 330. Also announced in "Electronics" in June 1930. In its original form, the 230 has a tubular "T9" bulb. During its commercial life, the bulb shape was changed to S12 and later ST12. Some tubes (such as Silvertone) were made with the ST14 bulb.
