Description |
The American company Sears Roebuck, with its head office in Chicago sold the standard range of American designed and made tubes from 1925. A few small manufacturers made these tubes and they were branded "WLS" (Worlds Largest Store). The company allotted each tube a four digit type number. The company also sold regular branded tubes such as Radiotron, Cunningham, Meteor and Solartron.
Page 552 of the Sears Roebuck 1925 catalog shows the 2955 is a Radiotron UV201A. It has a brass base
