Description |
The American company Sears Roebuck, with its head office in Chicago sold the standard range of American designed and made radio tubes from 1925. A few small manufacturers made these tubes and they were branded "WLS" (Worlds largest Store). The company allotted each tube a four digit number. The company also sold regular branded tubes such as Radiotron, Cunningham, Solartron and Meteor. Page 552 of the Fall 1925 Sears Roebuck catalog lists the 2957 as the Radiotrion UV199. It is also listed on page 493 of the Spring 1926 cataog
