Description |
X-band pulse magnetron, fixed tuning at 9003 to 9168 MHz. Flanged waveguide. Registered to Raytheon in October 1945, it actually was one of the still unstrapped very early 12 vanes X-band types appeared around the early 1942, even before the Western Electric 725A. It can be considered as a frequency variant of the 2J21, intended for use in AN/MPN-1 ground controlled precision approach radar system.
14 kv at 12 amps input, 10 to 12 kW otput pulses at 0.001 % duty. A later 2J36A version was rated for 28 kW RF pulses.
