Description

Very rare tube with amber glass. the article by Bill Condon in the Museum files states that an amber glass Arcturus type 32 exists. Provenance of the tube from 1969 indicates that it is the tube referred to in the article. None of the literature listed below mentions amber glass Arcturus tubes. Photo of this tube now in Museum and full provenance is known. This tube was a high gain type intended for scanning disk televisions and resistance coupled amplifiers. The filament of this tube is carbon and it operates at 15 volts. This voltage was chosen by the manufacturer to make use of the availability of 15 volt AC transformers used in toy trains.
