Description |
High-power CW magnetron capable of delivering 10KW at 350 to 500MHz. 10 to 14KV anode voltage. Split-anode structure, dowmetal secondary emission cathode, tungsten hairpin starter filament.Waveguide output, buit-in magnet coil. water-cooling required for anode, cathode, thank circuit and coupling loop. Gold metallization of the glass prevented secondary emission of the glass itself. Typical operating 1670 gauss, 12.4KV at 1.4A, 11.5KW out with 66% efficiency. The magnetron was developed during WWII under the direction of the Radio Reasearch Laboratory of the Harward University.
