Description |
UHF coaxial power triode. Extremely advanced design, capable of operation in the range from 500 to 1500MHz. It could be operated with press-on heath radiator, either a finned one for forced-air-cooling or a water jacket for fluid cooling. Quite exceptional ratings claimed in the datasheet.
- 200 W plate dissipation forced-air-cooling, 500 W water-cooling
- 2000 V max anode voltage
- 50 A peak anode current, 0.8 A RMS current
- 100W typical RF output at 1000MHz, 250W at 750MHz.
Likely developed for some airborne navigation or radar-like system canceled at the end of the war. Registered in February 1946 together with the 3C37. No known use for both of them, even if the second one was advertised in the same year. Indeed the only sample of 3C36 today existing is that still marked with National Union developmental code, R001.
