Description |
Ten-stage, ruggedized, flat-faced type having S-11 response. Wavelength of maximum response is 4400 +/- 500 angstroms. Makes use of cesium-antimony dynodes and a flat-circular, cesium-antimony, semi-transparent photocathode. Window material is Corning No. 0080 lime glass or equivalent. Used for measuring nuclear radiation.
Identical to type 4438, except this one has a small-shell duodecal base attached to flexible leads. This base is for testing purposes and should be removed prior to installation.
