Description |
Reflex klystron, 10.7 to 11.7GHz, waveguide output; 880mW power output. Integral heatsink, convection cooled.
Used in the receiver section of the NASA Echo satellite-tracking radar. The 445A operated at about 11.7 GHz as pump oscillator, feeding the parametric amplifier. In the early sixties the Echo radar system was also used by NASA to track the Moon. NASA technical note D-1135, Nov. 1961.
