Descripción

Page 671 of the Fall 1928 issue of the Sears Roebuck catalog announces a new catalog number series for radio tubes. 46XX, replacing the 29XX series. The 4603_WLS is shown as being equivalent to the UX222 tetrode. This tube is also listed in the Spring 1929 catalog. According to Tynes' "Saga of the vacuum Tube", page 318 the tube is screened by an additional grid around the anode, which reduces feedback. This grid is connected to the top cap.
