Page 671 of the Fall 1928 isue of theSears Roebuck catalog announces a new catalog number series for radio tubes, 46XX, replacing the 29XX series. The company sold the standard range of US designed and made tubes and these were made by a small number of manufacturers. THE "WLS" (Worlds Largest Store) brand was either hot branded on the tube base or a paper label on the glass. The 4612_WLS is also shown in the Spring 1929 catalog.
