Description |
Page no 671 of the Fall 1928 Sears Roebuck catalog announces a new catalog number series for radio tubes, 46XX, replacing the 29XX series. The company sold the standard range of US designed and made tubes and these were made by a few small manufacturers. THE "WLS" (Worlds Largest Store) brand was either hot branded onto the base of the tube or a paper label on the glass. The 4617_WLS is a new tube equivalent to the UX250. The Fall 1929 catalog has an entirely new catalog numbeer and the 4617_WLS became the 57T250.
