Description |
Page 671 of the Fall 1928 issue of the Sears Roebuck catalog lista the 4631 as a new tube, equivalent to the UY227. The company sold the standard range of US designed and made tubes and these were made by a few small manufacturers. The "WLS" (Worlds Largest Store) brand was either hot branded on the base of the tube or a paper label on the glass. The fall 1929 catalog has an entirely new catalog number and the 4631 became the 57T227.
