Description |
This tube was designed by Sparton-Cardon for the Equasonne circuit in 1928, but is a later replacement for the C-484, C-485 and the 484, all from Sparton-Cardon. See Rider's Sparton page 5-6 from August 1934. There is also a list of the models which used such tubes and can be found on the manufacturer page for Sparks-Withington, USA - and the note: "Sparton types 484-A and 485 should not be replaced by type '27. Difference in characteristics causes overload on both transformer and tube."
