Description |
Micropup pulse rated power triode. 8KV max anode voltage, 2A peak anode current; gain 22; 150W anode dissipation with forced air cooling.
Intended for application in the VHF range in ground and airborne transmitters of the SHORAN precision navigation system developed by RCA itself, including the AN/APN-3 airborne interrogator/responsor and two ground beacons AN/CPN-2.
Registered by RCA in December 1943, it was similar to 8026/4C27 without the radiator guard ring. Withdrawn by RCA in December 1945, it was later manufactured by Central Sales and Mfg. Corp., Denville, NJ, USA.
Similar to 4C27 without the shielding ring.
