Description |
All glass construction with external folded anode RF power triode. Pure tungsten, stress-free cathode. The tube requires forced-water cooling. 20KW anode power dissipation. It has been designed for industrial heating, but can be used as amplifier or oscillator. Operates up to 15MHz at full ratings and up to 45MHz at reduced anode voltage. 5658 was made by several US manufacturers, including Amperex, Federal, Machlett, Westinghouse and Sylvania. Also Fivre, Italy.
