Description |
This tube is listed on page 762 of the Fall 1929 issue of the Sears Roebuck catalog along with a range of Silvertone receiving tubes. It is a half wave argon filled battery charger rectifier type suitable for use with alarm and clock systems. It was also used in radio for charging small acumulators. The charging rate is 2 amps. It has a maximum output of 75 volts. Usual mounting of the tube is in a green painted box with external battery connections. The anode of this tube is a thick wire soldered to the "skirted" part of the base and this is insulated from the screw thread. This wire is external to the bulb and shaped to end near the top of the glass. The 57T5301 tube differs from this tube as it does not have the wire anode lead. In all other respects it is identical.
