Description |
10KV PIV, 12.5A average, 1500A surge. Grid voltage +1.5 at 1000 anode volts and _6 at 10000 anode volts.Tubular-spherical bulb, 17-1/2" high; 4 pin industrial base. Manufactured by GE and Westinghouse. First introduced in 1929 and registered on 8-12-49. Sibley also reports a warning of oscillations possible up to 37MHz.
The tube is a mercury vapour thyratron with a negative control characteristic which enables it to be used in applications where current flow is required in the absence of grid excitation.
