Description The Rogers 'Additron' 6047 was a single bit binary full-adder, designed to be used in high-speed computers. Internally, all around the cathode, the tube has twelve control rods, connected to form the three input electrodes, and twelve collectors, connected to form the two outputs, the sum and the carry.
Tubes could be easily cascaded to the wanted word length. Summing speed was in the order of 0.5us.
