Description

"Tungar" (Name is a trade mark of the G E Co, USA). Rectifier for battery charging 50V 2A or 75V 1.5A output.
(This type also known as Kenotron was pioneered by Fleming and known as the "Fleming valve" in England.) Ref Electrical Educator J A Fleming 1927).

The data sheet for this tube, dated April 1949, shows the base as being a skirted E27 size, with appropriate measurements, but in the text it shows "GES" which is Goliath Edison Screw - E40.. The height of the tube is shown as 105 mm, so impossible to have an E40 base. Base has a skirt which is shown as 35 mm diameter.
