The differences between the A, B and basic types of this series are not apparent. Tubes bear the 6AF4A/B mark. The differences must be small.

According to guest/visitor Joe Perkins (USA) the differnces are the height of the envelope, The "A" suffix shorter (about 36 mm) and the B or no suffix version about 48mm high.
