Description |
6AJ7 was an improved variant of industry standard 6AC7 intended for applications in radar receivers. Tighter control of the cutoff voltage, compared to its 6AC7 prototype, and bare metal ring over the base, in order to ground the metal skirt when inserted in a special socket with side fingers.
It was registered to Canadian REL during the war, in January 1944. Being very similar to its prototype, REL also requested the double marking permission, 6AJ7 / 6AC7 for this tube.
Low-loss micanol base.
