Description |
This tube is a high gain duo-diode medium cut off R.F.pentode. It was only made in Australia. it is equivalent to the Mullard (England) designed EBF32 which was not readily available in Australia. AWV made four versions of the tube 1) with embossed printing on the lead shield; 2) a plain lead shield with no printing; 3) the plain shield painted in a cream colour; 4) later version with shorter base shell and shorter plain shield. It is listed, at least, in the Philips "Miniwatt" Technical data book, 7th edition of 1962. AWV tubes are relatively common but only one Philips 6AR7GT has been seen.

This tube is in fact an Australian designed tube manufactured only by the Amalgamated Wireless Valve Company(AWV.)
Furthermore it is not a twin diode triode, but a Duo Diode, medium cut-off RF Pentode. Very similar to the EBF32/35
