Description |
Output section similar to type 41, 6AD7, 6F6 or 6K6.
Although this can offer a possible substitution for the 6AD7 as the output Pentodes are almost identical, the triodes differ considerably and would usually require circuit changes to operate. The biassing, impedances and gains are significantly differerent. The 6AD7 heater at 0.85A is also different from the 0.45 to 0.55A range quoted for the 6H7M and 6H7S tubes.
This note is added as a guide to possible substitution of these rather scarce items.
