Hello Giuseppe, please show some good detailed pictures of the 7-pin Chinese 6J5 here in the forum and upload them also to the tube page. Maybe the pin-out can be determined by examination the pics. Furthermore, the preamplifier should be added as a new model suggestion. Until now, the only model in RMorg using this tube, is a Chinese console Peony 牡丹 1201. Real pictures are stil missing there. According to the schematic, the Chinese 6J5 is a kind of beam power tube. It's not a triode, in contrast to all other 6J5 variants. Thanks for your assistance in this matter. Best regards |

Hello Bernhard, thanks for your reply, till now I have found the pins 3 and 4 are the heater filament, and think the pins are the same of the chinese 6J1 pentode, but obviously I'm not sure! The heater current is about 430mA @ 6,3Vcc this preamp is a kit, not a complete model..... I have attached a photo of this tube best regards... G. Attachments

Hello, the 6J5_China is obviously the Chinese version of the Russian 6Ж5П, which in turn is the Russian version of the 6AH6. It uses a beam structure, but it's no power output tube, - which wouldn't make sense in a preamplifier. Best Regards,

Thanks Jacob for your notes ! so the pin assignment are like the russian version .....in my preamp, this tube is used as a triode with a connection between pin 5 and 6. However the chinese schematic uses it as a power output tube in the AF final stage..... now I know all the pins functions....thanks again. best regards. G. |

The datasheet of the equivalent 6AH6 tells about a maximum plate dissipation of 3.2 W, a nominal operating plate current of 10 mA at 300 V, which may be sufficient for a modest output power, but there is nothing told about this use. B R, Jacob |

Thanks Jacob, the the pin assignment picture in the 6J5_China page is not the right one, in reality there is not an internal connection between pin 2 and pin 7.....I have uploaded a new pin assignment picture. B R..... G. Attachments

Unfortunately a wrong base diagram was shown at the original 6AH6 page, which I've copied unaware to the 6J5_China page. Now I've replaced it by the correct one everywhere. BR Jacob |
